WHO WE ARE
We are a group of Stamp 3 and Stamp 1G holders who represent thousands of highly skilled and experienced spouses / partners / dependents of non-EEA highly skilled migrants residing in Ireland on Critical and General employment permits.
We decided to join hands to throw some light on the barriers faced by our community that prevent us from getting easy access to employment in Ireland. The vast majority of us Stamp 3 holders had left our own rewarding careers in our native or other countries to join partners and spouses working in Ireland, and were disappointed to find that due to reasons such as discrimination from employers based on the visa status and lengthy processing time of work permits, we have been unable to secure paid work in any form. We are a huge pool of qualified and experienced talent that is already residing in Ireland and is ready to work and contribute to the Irish economy. Though we do not have a precise count of Stamp 3 holders currently residing in Ireland, we are aware that in 2017 alone, INIS issued 8423 Stamp 3 permits while the DBEI granted only 590 permits to Stamp 3 holders.
We strive to reform Stamp 3 in line with the best practice model followed by U.K and other EU member states that gives spouses / partners / dependents of non-EEA highly skilled migrants fair consideration and direct access to employment.
